In science today we were Correcting our homework and our homework was about traits, Charles Darwin, and his ideas. Anyway I wanted to write a blog about it is because it would be awesome to have different trait s that are well adapted to my environment.. Like imagine having the ability to fly or change your skin color. It would be like being a super hero or something like that. I think it would be cool to have something like that. 

I also think that it would be hard for animals with different traits, because if they have a sibling that has a beneficial trait and it didn't then it would die and the sibling would survive. But at least the sibling's beneficial trait would be passed on to its children and a new species would be born hopefully. I can't imagine if it were like that in the human world where only a couple of the sibling survived because of their traits. At least that would settle the over population problem in the worlAnyway I just thought that this topic would be good to type about today.

Charles Darwin game

In science class today we had to play a game about mutation with moths, it was fun, but not as fun as the game we played next. After we finished the first game we had to play another game that involved evolution. We had to choose three animals with their own mutations or features, then we would see what would happen. We had to survive for 1 million years, and ove rthe years there would be challenges and the popultion would grow and change. One of the challenges  was that a volcano would explode and I guess they had to run, so you needed long legs. 

Another one like that is where there is a predator trying to chase you. Then there is one where there are fruits growing adn they have to be tall to reach it. Another one is when there is a comet crashing and the world goes cold, so they need to be fat or need a lot of fur. Another is that the sun is coming out and it turns into a desert and the animals have to have little short fur and be tall to run I'm guessing because they were tall when it happened. Then they had to get stripes like a zebra, so they would blend in with the surrounding I assuming. But anyway the game was fun and I hope that I can play it again, it was fun and It's amazing to see how species would come together to evolve and change to react to the environment.  This is a really good game in my opinion because it teaches us how creatures evolved.

Charles Darwin's Voyage

Over the weekend we have to plot out the voyage of Charles Darwin in science. class. I already got the longitude and latitude, but we have to draw an illustration of what he saw or what the paragraph was about. We have to read a website about his voyage. I'm  just worried about the drawing part because my internet is down at my house and I can't use my computer. I'm thinking about using the computers in the computer lab today or on Tuesday in the morning. 

In science class we are learning about evolution, si that's why we have to do this voyage because it's Charles Darwin, he was the reason evolution was thought of. It sounds like fun because after we put the dots on the map, we get to connect them like connect the dots. So that's why I wanted to finish in class so that when I get home, I could just connect the dots and be done. But I still have to do the drawings. Ms. Poole was kind enough to give us the first dot on the map, so that's one I don't have to worry about I guess. But at least it's a three day weekend and we have a lot of time to do this and finish it, then the Superbowl is on Sunday. But any way that's the whole point of this assignment, and I think that it'll be really fun to do it and finish it.
