Durning my seventh grade year at Computech, I've had a lot of memories to remember. Like the first time I had to go to homework lab, that wasn't fun. or like the first time I talked to someone, or my first time meeting someone. I think that the most favorite memory is the first day of volleyball try-outs. I didn't know if I was going to make it or not or if I would get along with the other players. I knew basically all of them accept for two.

I think that my next favorite memory was when I made a bug out of a bottle and paper masse. I thought that it looked pretty bad. It was very uneven, and if it were a real bug then it would've died in the first week of its life. I think that my next favorite memory was when I went to my very first volleyball game, for school. So yeah, I think that my future favorite memory, is going to be when we go to Wild Water Adventure Park. So anyway guys thanks for reading and I will see you guys next time with another "Core Concentration" blog post.

The Columbus Exchange was really great, but it was also very terrible. There are negative and positive side-effects of it. Some of the positive effects were that they were able to trade with the natives, and they were able to create new maps that were more accurate than others. So there were some positive. Now let's get to the negative effects, which involved mistreat and slavery.

The negatives were about they got the exchange going, and how they took advantage of it.  They enslaved the natives of the islands they were hosted at. They were treated like guests, but Columbus and his crew treated the natives like people they needed to conquer. They were cruel to them and sometimes they died from mistreat. So there aren't just happy stuff that happened, and there aren't just good maps and trading. There were terrible things going on. Now that you guys know what happened, and why, I will see you guys later with another "Core Concentration" blog post.

I thin that my most favorite station at the zoo was when we had to identify the animal skulls. It was fun to m e because I knew almost all of them by heart. I knew so much because when I was young I used to always get books at the library about animals. I would always watch animals shows on TV and on animal planet. I still do watch animal shows, but not animal books. That really helped me to identify them.

It was also my favorite because the zoo employees were amazed by how well I identified them. It also made feel good about myself because no one else in my group knew what they were. So yeah, there was a page about it, and it was matching the animal with the skull. I didn't know until I saw someone holding the page so that also made me feel good, knowing it without looking at the page. So now that you guys know what my favorite station was at the zoo, I will see you guys later.

The Aztec and the Inca were similar. I honestly didn't learn about the Inca in my core class So I will just tell you guys about the Aztecs and their fall. The Aztecs were driven out of their lend by the Spanish, that came from Spain. They were in search of gold and wanted to convert people into their religion. So when they got there they met a rival tribe of the Aztecs. They fought but then made a deal that they would help them defeat the Aztecs.

Hernan Cortes was the man leading this expedition and agreed to the truce they made. When they got to the Aztec territory they thought that it would be hard fighting their way in because it was in the middle of a lake. But it was actually easy because they welcomed them in. They thought that he was their old god who had come back to reclaim his land. So when they thought he was their friend Cortes held their king prisoner and then everyone started fighting. The king was killed in the confusion, but no one knows if the Spanish or the Aztecs did it. Cortes returned and siege the Aztecs. Eventually,  they lost and Cortes took over and changed the Aztecs. They were treated as slaves and sometimes died by mistreat. Now that you know about the Aztec I will See you guys later with another blog post.

I think that the main reason that the Mayan people fell was because of the climate. I mean they could have used the land too much for growing their crops and could've gotten rid of the rich soil that was once their. If it was warfare that dd it then there wouldn't be any of their descendants left. If it was because of over population then they could have just moved somewhere else.

So get this if it was warfare then wouldn't they have destroyed all of the pyramids that they made and burn it to pieces. If I were trying to get rid of people that's what I would do so that more of them wouldn't move back in or something. So this is why I think that it was climate changes. They used the soil too  much and got rid of its richness, and so they couldn't grow crops. Since crops were good they left the place and moved somewhere else. They might have found some place better and never returned to Mesoamerica until settlers found it. Then the settlers used the land and made a home there,  this is how I think the Mayans fell. So have a great day and I will see you later.

I think that the most favorite book of the year was probably "Wpof Brother". I don't remember what the author's name was so sorry to the author if they ever read his blog. Any way I think it was my favorite because it had a lot of mystery and action in it and it also took place way back then where people used camp fires and lived in forests. I also liked it because it had clans like raven clan, wolf clan, boar clan, etc. So I thought that was pretty cool because they had laws and stuff like that.

My strongest like about this book was that there is the boy who is the main character and he journeys off and has a wolf companion with him to talk to. And they actually understand each other. He was raised by a wolf because his mother died, and his dad put him with a wolf mother so she could feed the boy. I'm guessing that he learned how to speak wolf in that period of time. But he wasn't raised by a wolf his whole life, he was only raised until he was a certain age and his father took him back. So yeah it's a really good book and see you later.

I think that the scientific revolution was very important because if it didn't happen then we would probably not have science today or we would be barley discovering it. If we didn't have science then we wouldn't have technology or cars or anything, because technology depends on science. Einstein made the light bulb because of science to make light and energy. SO it was very important for that to happen, can you imagine being in an old fashion place with like a fire place and a cabin made of logs.

I wouldn't want to live in a place that didn't have easy transportation or no technology. But that would be fun to experience it though. So anyway we probably would be like in the old days still with only believing that the earth is the center of the universe and that everything revolves around it and stuff. So yeah I wouldn't not want believe that because it isn't the truth, and I like to live in a place where I know things. That's is why I think that the scientific revolution is important.

Today I'm writing about my five thesis are complaints about something you disagree with. In case you haven't heard about Martin Luther, Not the Martin Luther King Jr. This Martin Luther lived back in the day like the Renaissance . He created ninety five thesis. But today I'm creating five thesis about my school. I think that ones problem about my school is that we have to have a dress code I mean what's up with it. I know it makes us all look nice and classy, but some of us want to wear different clothes. Another one is that we don't get that much time during the break. We only have like 9 minutes I think that we should get at least 15 because we need some time to relax.

My third is that we need to have better lunches, we always have these foods that no one really likes, and it tastes kind of bad. I also think that we should have more lunch lines because the lines are just too long. The security guards are always yelling not run, but we want to get lunch. My last thesis is that we should get less homework. I know that we are sometimes struggling in class and that we need time to do it at home, but sometimes we et too much homework in one night.  Besides in some classes we already have a lot of work to do like projects and we don't need that pressure of doing your homework by tonight or you won't have time to do it tommorow. So these are my five thesis about my school.

Over Spring break I will be in a play that I will do for my church. It's kind of exciting because I'm the narrator, but it's also bad because I'm the narrator. In this play the narrator has the most lines, and I will have to remember them all by this weekend. So that's going to be hard because I have homework and volleyball try outs this week and a lot of things are in my way to practice my part in the play.

Besides the play I will probably do nothing over the break, unless something comes up. Spring break isn't that long either it's only like a week and a day long. It's not as long as winter break, or especially Summer break. So my break will be just the play for my church and do nothing. Wait actually I think that My church group and I will be doing this Easter egg hunt thing at a park. In fact, the whole church will be doing an Easter egg hunt. So that's all I'm going to do for my Spring break.

If I were to meet either Michelangelo or Leonardo, I would choose Leonardo because he was a great artist and he invented a lot of inventions that weren't even possible in that time. It would be awesome to see what he was working on, and he might've taught me how to mirror script. Mirror script is when you write in a secret type of way like going all around and up and down. And only he knew how to read it, and it would be cool to know how to write and read mirror script. But it would be hard not to tell anyone that you know how to read it.

But people who found his notes found out how to read it and decipher the awesome writing. So be able to read and write it won't be that astonishing. But only a few people know how so it would kind of be. I would also want to know how to make art like Leonardo then I could be as good as he was at drawing, or drawing, sculpting, and inventing.Any way that's all the reasons why I would rather meet Leonardo. I'm not hating on Michelangelo, just to let you know.
