I think that dodgeball is really violent, but also really fun. It's only fun when you get the ball and throw it at someone. There are many types of dodgeball. There's one where you ar against teams on two sides of a court, there's one where you are in a circle and people throw balls at you. The last one is where you are against a wall and people are trying to throw balls at you. So each is fun, or dangerous in its own way. I think that when where you are against other teams is more fun because it;s fair and everyone gets a chance to throw the ball, unless you run out and you're the only one on your side. 

The other versions are unfair in my opinion because there are people inside a circle or up against a wall, and people are throwing balls at them. But when you are in the circle or against the wall it really gives a you adrenaline, and excitement. The reason for this is because you are trying to dodge these ball flying at 10 mph heading towards you face. It gives you quite a rush. Throwing the ball is probably the best thing to do because you really feel powerful to make everyone scared of you.

Today in my second period we launched rockets made by the students for the first time this semester. My second period is rocketry or science workshop, in case your were wondering why we launched rockets. Anyway the rockets went really high, at least the first one. We made the rockets out of 2 liter bottles, and made the fins and taped them on the bottle. The rocket is actually made out of two rockets because we used another one as the nose cone. 

We cut one in half and tape it to the BOTTOM of the rocket so the other side will be the thrust so that it can burst into the air. We taped fins on the side that was supposed to be the thrust. Before you tape the bottles together you have to out clay into the nose cone so that it has weight to go high enough into the air. Today only half of the class got to launch their rockets because it would take too long to launch all of ours in one day. So only some of them went high because they the right amount of water in them. If you out too much water in it the rocket wouldn't go as high as it would. But if you out to little of water in the rocket then the rocket will only go so high. Mr. West, our teacher, told us to put between 600th of water in there. It was 600th of something, but I forgo t what it was. But anyway that's it for this blog, have a good time, and happy Friday!

In science today we were Correcting our homework and our homework was about traits, Charles Darwin, and his ideas. Anyway I wanted to write a blog about it is because it would be awesome to have different trait s that are well adapted to my environment.. Like imagine having the ability to fly or change your skin color. It would be like being a super hero or something like that. I think it would be cool to have something like that. 

In science class today we had to play a game about mutation with moths, it was fun, but not as fun as the game we played next. After we finished the first game we had to play another game that involved evolution. We had to choose three animals with their own mutations or features, then we would see what would happen. We had to survive for 1 million years, and ove rthe years there would be challenges and the popultion would grow and change. One of the challenges  was that a volcano would explode and I guess they had to run, so you needed long legs. 

Over the weekend we have to plot out the voyage of Charles Darwin in science. class. I already got the longitude and latitude, but we have to draw an illustration of what he saw or what the paragraph was about. We have to read a website about his voyage. I'm  just worried about the drawing part because my internet is down at my house and I can't use my computer. I'm thinking about using the computers in the computer lab today or on Tuesday in the morning. 

In science class we are learning about evolution, si that's why we have to do this voyage because it's Charles Darwin, he was the reason evolution was thought of. It sounds like fun because after we put the dots on the map, we get to connect them like connect the dots. So that's why I wanted to finish in class so that when I get home, I could just connect the dots and be done. But I still have to do the drawings. Ms. Poole was kind enough to give us the first dot on the map, so that's one I don't have to worry about I guess. But at least it's a three day weekend and we have a lot of time to do this and finish it, then the Superbowl is on Sunday. But any way that's the whole point of this assignment, and I think that it'll be really fun to do it and finish it.

Today during break, I went into my next period which was Ms. Poole's class. I go in there every day because it's my next period. But today I noticed that in the shelf in the back of the class room, there was a mouse in a cup of coffee. It wasn't a real mouse or real coffee. It was one of those robotic things with an off and on switch. But I've seen it a couple of times, but I didn't really touch it. But today I asked Ms. Poole if I could turn it on. 

When I turned t on It made a weird noise and the tail started to move and it made musical noises. Then at the end it would made a splash and then burp, I didn't really think it was funny until I started to show some people and I made a remark on it. I said that, "Oh it's just my regular coffee." But the mouse was moving in it, so yeah it was kind of funny, but after a while it got kind of annoying. But anyway that's what happened.

This weekend we have a three day weekend. The reason I like three day weekends is because we have an extra day of not going to school. It's not that I don't like school, but it's good to get a break. Even though we just got off of winter break. I think it's good because your body thinks it's a normal day and your going to school and then you wake up early, but then You realize that it's a three day weekend and you go back to sleep, or just stay awake.

During three day weekends, I like to wake up early because sometimes there is something good on television. But that's very uncommon because I take advantage of my extra day and sleep in usually. But I don't sleep in too much because you can wake up in the middle of the day, or late at night and stay up the rest of the night and not wake up for school the next day. So when I stay up I try to stay up a little over the time I usually go to sleep, so I don't wake up too late.

Over the weekend we have to write an essay for science about a woman named Rosalind Franklin. She discovered the structure of DNA. She was a child that was very intelligent, and went to a smart school. She was born in England and she went to king's college. When she was there she was asked to find the structure of protein, but something better came up. She was asked to find the structure of DNA in Cambridge. She gladly accepted and she was on the job. When she was working on the project there was someone else who found the structure of DNA but then she found out that there we

Today during science class, there was rain every where. Well when it rains it does go every where. But the rain was raining hard, in fact it was actually hail. Like it was ice falling from the sky. Ms. Poole said that we could go outside for a couple of minutes. We all were pushing each other ikn the rain and we all were jumping and sticking our hands in the rain. The best part about it was that it was cold. I know that well of course it's going to be cold but this time it was freezing. But I didn't mind in fact I like it when it's cold. 

As I said before in a recent blog that I'm a person who likes the cold because it's much easier to get warm than to get to get cold. But back to the main subject, when we were outside we were all soking wet. Like when we got back inside we all were really wet, in fact I'm still wet. But it's a fun sort of wet. But that's all that was really good about it cold wet rain. Besides at least we got to go out of class for a couple of minutes. This is like the best school day ever, because we got to go outside in frozen rain. If I had a best school day journal this would be at the top.

Today in science class we were playing a game where we have to answer science questions with a remote. The remote has like numbers and letters, and true or false on it. We have to answer it in like ten seconds then it shows up on the big screec that Ms. Poole projected. Then it shows who was the fastest. Then she showed us the leaderboard and see who was the fastest of the class. A couple of times I was the fastest in the whole class.

But the leaderboard also shows who has the most points. Like if you answered it then you get lik 300 points. Then that goes to your score on the leaderboard. That time I was on the leaderboard I had the most points and I was in first place. So I feel pretty proud of myself for being the fastest and have the most points. But then there were really hard ones and I wasn't on the leaderboard anymore. I hope we get to play that game again, like next week or so. Then next time I hope that she gives out prizes. Like candy or a pencil, or something like that. But what I really want is to be in the first place position again. But next time I want to stay in first place.
