I tink that my most favorite event that occurred in the Middle Ages was the fact that Joan of Arc helped the French fight the Englich. The reason I like it is becuase she stood up for what she believed in, an because of that she died and was known as a bad person for a long time. But then later omn she was redeemed and was proven inocent. I also like that she found the king of France when they tried to test her. The people dressed the king in different clothes and see if she knew who he was and if she was really sent by God to defeat te English.

Another reason was that she was the only girl in the army, that must have taken a big amount of courage to do something like that. Not to metion that she Joan was only like 16 or seventeen years old, this meens that she had to leave her family to go the war, that too took a lot of courage to do. One last reason is that when she was wounded in battle she still went on and told her people to keep fighting.

If I was in the black death time period then I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't survive because it was so terrible. There wasn't just one disease, but there were multiple diseases in the black death. The worst thing about it was that it was carried by rats and fleas. You can't see rats most of the time because They were always hiding, then you can't see fleas because they are so small that you need like a microscope to see them. So if I did survive then I would be impressed with my self. 

Anyway now that we know what it was, let's take a look and see how life was during that time. I'm not 100% sure that this was how it was like, but I can give my best guess. I think that the sky was gloomy, and people were always coughing because of the disease. I don't think that a lot of people were outside because of the rats and the fleas, they might jump on you or something like that. I don't think that the people were that public or that friendly because they didn't want anyone to get near because they either had the disease and they didn't want to hurt anyone. Or they don't want the disease so they stay way from everyone that was near. When it first came I think that people were acting like normal because they didn't know that the disease was there, and if someone had it they thought it was just a cold.

As I walked into the courtyard I hear the knight training, Then all of a sudden my uncle came in front of me and said that a pope has asked him to go to war but he was too old. He said that I should be the one to go to war and protect a holy place. he said that the trip will be next week and I had until then to decide wether I wanted to go or not. I was thinking All that day, f I went I could die of natural causes like being sick, a disease, or I would be ship wrecked if we went by ship. 

I wanted to go and give popularity to my family and represent my family name. I would also be fighting to protect a place of God, so I would go to heaven by doing his bidding. But the trip would be long and I would be like in my twenties before I come back home. That's if I do get back home, but I'm the nephew of the leader, so I think I might be protected by knights or some guards. It took a lot of thinking, but I decided to go and fight for my family, my country, and most importantly, my God. 

In case you never heard of Charlemagne, that's because he's also known as Charles the Great, he was also the king of the Franks. You may be wondering why he is so great, well first of all he is the king of the Franks, and the other reason is that he ruled most of Europe. He was also the ruler of most of Europe; that's why he ruled it. The reason he was called the Great was because he was an excellent conqueror and ruler. 

He was a killer, but he loved education. He loved it so much that he built schools for the children all over Europe. Then he tried to take over a fort but he couldn't do it. They took down their outside troop sand thought it was so easy that they went to the main area with out their armor or shields. When they got there they were out matched they retreated and ran across a bridge. One man held back a gruop of the enemies, until they broke free. Then they were slaughtered. One lucky arrow was guided and hit Charlemagne right in the throat, that was the end of Charlemagne.

I thought that I have found a friend after a long time of loneliness, but it turns out to be another person who wants me to be his slave. I have to be his slave because if I don't be his slave then he would take me back to Stromford where I will be killed. I don't want to go back because I was proclaimed a wolf's head for a crime I didn't commit. Then there are some people who I absolutely hate Cerdic, and John Aclyffe. John was the one who accused me of the crime and Cerdic betrayed me when he said he would help me. Let me start at the beginning where everything went wrong.

I was about thirteen when my mom died and then I ran into the forest and fell on a rock. When I awoke I saw John Aclyffe and he tried to kill me, luckily I escaped and went back to my village. When I got there I saw two men who went to my house and destroyed it. That night I went to the church where there was my only friend. Father Quinel, he cared for me like I was his child, because my father died of a great plague. He said that he would help me and that I should meet him by a house tommorrow night. That day I found out that I was commited a crime by two guards who walked by. That night I was betrayed by Cerdic who said he would lead me to Father Quinel but instead lead me into a trap, and then I found Father Quinel dead.

As I walk back to my village I can smell the smoke. I run and run until I get to the top of a hill. I see my village It's completely burned down. But I still hear people screaming for their lives. Then I see these sails and people getting on a boat. I know what has happened and I run towards my village. I can see survivors running away and I'm pretty sure they won't come back. I look desperately for my house and hopefully my family is still alive. I run but can't find it, all the houses look the same now.

I finally spot it and I run Towards it. Nothing, but ashes I try to think positive and hope that they survived. I wonder if I could get my revenge, but the sails have already left my sight in the horizon. So then I follow the survivors hoping to see my family. I try to keep up with them, for they too have left my sight. Then I hear voices over a hill, I get to the top and I see people gathering. I thrive to see what has happened and I see all of the wounded. My brother and my mother were apart of the wounded. They were my only family now.

My resolution for the new year is to bring up my grades. Over the last semester I've been getting bad grades and I want to graduate to the 8th grade. And when you graduate you get credit points for high school , then I will go to a good college and graduate high school as well. This is why I want to bring up my grades for the year. My aunt said she will give me fifty dollars if I get a four point 0. To me fifty dollars is a lot. It may not be a lot for some parents or adults, but it is a lot for me

So first of all I want that money, and second of all, I want a good education. Plus it would be nice to say that I graduated with a four point 0. But I don't really care about the money that much, I just want to graduate. A three point 0 would still be good. Or a three point five, as long as I stay in the three or the fours, I think that I'll be happy for the year. 

Over the Vacation I think I'm just going to sleep. Well not always sleep, but I'll sleep most of the time. Then I have some church things I need to do. Well actually, if the world doesn't end like it's supposed to then I 'l do the things I want to do. But anyways I would do my church things, hang-out with my friends. Then I'll just sleep and get up play my video-games, watch TV, eat food, go to the bathroom, and go back to sleep. 

But that's my first schedule, after I rest, then I'll do things like going to the bathroom, probably go to the park with my friends, go to the movies with my friends. Then I'll have family time, and be lazy, drinking hot cocoa. If only it would be like that. That's pretty much all I would do over the vacation. Oh yeah I forgot the most important part, I will watch the ball drop in New york on TV. Then I'll get to stay up until midnight and stay up longer until day time and then go to sleep. That's pretty much my fantasy vacation schedule.

I think that the most important idea that Japan got from China is that they used chinese characters in their writing. Japanese people had a spoken language,but not a written language. So they sent some representatives to China and Korea to gather information about their government. One thing they brought back from China was their written language. Since they didn't have a written language they used the Chineses. One thing they got from Korea was, well actually I don't know what they got from Korea. I think it was their philosophy, or something like that.

But their are more things they got from China. For sure I know that they got their philosophy. It was like Buddism, Confucianism, and something else. There was another culture that came from Russia. These people were called the Ainu. They didn't really do much, but they fought other people and lost a lot of land by doing so. So they weren't really successful in making their culture grow. 

I'm working in the field and then I can hear thunder. Then look up at the sky and it's clear. Then I look at the horizon, and there are Mongols riding on their horses with swords. spears, and bows and arrows. I feel very scared and then I run towards my house. I always have a weapon or sword incase something like this happened. But when I look in the closet, there was no sword. Then I remembered that I used it, and it was in the mill house.

 So I ran as fast as I can towards the mill house. As I look for my sword I can hear them right there in my fields. Then I walk outside and there they were, right in front of me. Then I start slashing, and blood splatters all over me. I see Mongols falling from their horses, and I see horses standing back. So then I slash, and slash, until someone knocked my sword out of my hand. I have nothing to protect myself and so I pick up one of their weapons and start to fight again. As I realize that no one is here I look around at all of the dead soldiers. I'm amazed that I took out an entire Mongol fleet.
