These are three important cell parts, the nucleus, mitocondria, and the vacuole. The nucleus is the brain of the cell. It tells the cell to do something or not to do something. The mitocondria is the powerhouse of the cell. It breaks down materials and then turn it into energy for the cell. The vacuole is the place where all the food is stored, and then used if needed. Without these parts, the wouldn't be able to live.

Without the nucleus, the cell wouldn't know what to do and eventually the cell would be eaten by something else. Is the mitocondria was gone then the cell wouldn't hvae any energy and just float aroumd. With out the vacuole the cell wouldn't be able to store food and then it would look for food everyday. With this all cels would eat all the food and then they won't have enough for themelves. Over all, if these parts weren't in the cell the cell would surely die. With the cells dead, all living things wouldn't be able to live and earth would be a lifeless planet, and then the whole evolution would have to start all over again. So these parts are very important to the cell and us people as living things. With out parts to help the cell the cell wouldn't helpus and then we all would die.

Rats

It takes 48 days for a rat to fully develope from a cell to a rat baby. As it grows the fur stays fuzzy for it to keep warm and for it to survive if it gets cold. Then when it is about two months old it starts to look like its parents. The only differnece between them is that they will be a little bit smaller. For their first weeks of their lives they will have to survive off its mother's milk. Sometimes if the mother needs to she will eat the babies for her survival. But that's only if there's a bit of food where they live.

If it has to or wants to, the dad will stay with the mother and babies to protect them. But just like the mom sometimes the dad will eat one or two of the babies if it needs to. When the babies start to get older they will grow adult hair and start to change their looks. And when they are old enough they will go off and have babies of their own. But until then they're stuck with mom. But the dad part is very rare. It'll usually only stay if it wants to. But the eating part is also very rare or at least for the mom.

Today in  science class we got to chew gum in the classroom. Today I think is the best school day so far. We had to chew gum for two minutes and we had to spit it out on the wrapper and we had to weigh it on a balance. But first we had to make a prediction about will it increase, decrease, or will stay the same. I thought it would increase because of all the saliva added to it. But it decreased. When we had to spit it out I looked at it and saw it. It was so wierd looking thast I didn't want to eat it any more, but when I licked it I wantedd to eat it again.
It was about the period basiclly but it was fun doing the activity. Even if the gum looked like a wierd looking slobbery creature. It was even shining in the light when I looked at it. I liked it because we really didnt do anything. we just sat there and chewed gum. Then just weighed it. Then when we were chewing we just to the people next to us.

Today in science class I learned about measuring the volume of a beaker , flask ,and a graduated cylinder. Yesterday I learned hiw to measur the volume of an object by using differant rulers. In this procces we used a cube that was one inch long to guess about how tall, wide and the length of it. Then we used a real ruler in order to find out the real amount of the object. The objective of this activiy was to find out how many of the one inch cubes could fit in the box.
Today we learned how to measure water in a beaker, we learned that the middle of the beaker  or what ever measuring device you use. it will be the final and most accurrate measure of the object that you put in it. You use this techniqe if the object is irregular like a rock.

The first step to finding the volume of an irregular shaped object is to get a flask, a graduated cylinder, or a beaker. Then find the irregular shaped object. Next fill up either the flask ex. and fill it with water. Make sure its at on a line on the tool. Then drop the object in the tool and what ever the amount of water it is then record it.
Like say when you fill up the flask and its at 80. then when you put in the object it goes to 90. then the volume of the object is ten. But if you are finding the volume of a cube then using a ruler and centimeters. you have to find the hieght and width and length then multiply.

The most favorite activity in science is probally when we all got to chew gum in the class. Well it really wasnt that fun we had to stop from time to time because we had to take a time test. Well it really wasnt a test it was an activity to see if the gum srink in the mouth while we chewed. Ms. Poole said not to look at the gum when we spit it back on the wrapper because we might get grossed out by looking at it. But a lot of people looked at it anyway. We practicly spent the whole class time chewing spit, chewing spit. That was the best part of it.

But then we had to do a graph. That was the, Well boring part of the activity but it was still fun. This is because Im pretty good at doing graphs. But I dont want to brag or anything. We had to decide how to make the graph go by twentys or go by tens. Stuff like that. I cant really remember if it was double-period with her. Because it takes a lond time to get from her room to the cafeteira. Anyway that was probally the best activity in science in the whole year. At least so far. Iknow that were going to discect a frog sooner or later.

The reson people look like their parents because of genes. Genes are the key to look - alikes. The cells in the body copy the genes in the offspring's parent and puts it in the offspring's body. This gives the offspring an exact copy look of their parents. athis doesn't just occur in parents.

Like say if your great-grandma has red hair. Then your dad has blonde hair, then your mom has black hair. Then you have red hair, like your great- granadma. Lets say that she died and your parents dont know why you have red hair when lets say all your brothers and sisters have black or blonde hair. Then they remember that your great-grandma had red hair. So the genes dont only come from the parents they can be from their parents, or their parents before. Not only in the hair. you can have blue eyes when your parents both have brown. Then you see that your grandma has blue eyes. It comes in a lot of different features .

Brains

For the past week or so weve been measuring and weighing a growing brain that you buy at the dollar store, in science class. It has gotten very big. It was at like three centimeters then it grew like a centimeter each day or around that size. it weighed like ten grams at first but then it weighs like 179.1 grams. It grew pretty fast, but the brain sort of shrunk today. It was at 8.8 centimetters yesterday, but now its back at 8.1 centimeters. But it did get heavier by a couple of grams. But its really cool because they added texture to the brain so it actually fells like one. When its wet it really starts to feel like a brain. It really has a bounce to it when I drop it on the table it sort of bounces like a centimeter or two in the air.

The reason I know that my cells are working without me feeling anything is because If my cells werent working then I would probally be dead or something. This is because if my like say blood cells werent working then no oxegyn would go through my heart, my brain wouldnt have oxegyn and I would die. Lets say my cells that break down food. If they didnt work then I wouldl be full of food and then I would POP! Like a balloon. And if the cells that keep my temperature the same didnt work I would be frozen or melted. Lets say if all my cells didnt work then there wouldnt be any cells that would create more cells then I would have less cells and would die of cell sortage.
